FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS BERLIN
PROJECTION MAPPING ON OBERBAUMBRÜCKE
Berlin has a heartbeat of its own.
Crossing the Oberbaum Bridge, you can feel the pulse of the city right away. People and traffic move like tiny cells through an artery that connects East and West. A steady flow of motion and encounters.
In a world marked by division, crisis, hatred, and greed, those connections often start to fade. We tend to forget that, in the end, we’re all part of the same whole. All living beings on this planet are connected and the walls that separate us aren’t just made of concrete or barbed wire, but often built in our minds.
With our animation on Berlin’s Oberbaum Bridge – part of the Festival of Lights – we want to highlight this simple truth:
Strength comes from connection and none of us is free until all of us are free.
OWN YOUR PLASTIC
IMMERSIVE INSTALLATION
Inspired by microscopic images of deadly diseases, I began to see plastic as a kind of virus — one we’ve created ourselves. We clog our planet like arteries clogged with fat, until nothing flows as it should.Plastic is everywhere — in remote landscapes, in oceans, even inside our bodies. What we consume ends up consuming us.It slips into nature like a parasite, blending in until it feels natural — inevitable. This piece imagines a future where plastic doesn’t just surround us, but replaces us. It fills our veins, takes the place of organs, becomes part of our biology. On average, a person produces 3 to 11 kilos of plastic waste each month.Think about how light a single plastic bag is —and then imagine the pile of trash we produce. My mission was to make that invisible weight visible —by melting it into one confronting form.I live consciously, consume carefully. And still, this is what remains. The work is a confrontation with the silent takeover — one we invited in.

ORANGE DAY
End Violence against Women Campaign / DEMONSTRATION AGAINST THE GENOCIDE IN PALESTINE
“25 November has been designed as the Orange Day by the UNiTE to End Violence against Women Campaign. The color orange symbolizes a brighter future, free of violence. It also serves as a means of demonstrating your solidarity in eliminating all forms of violence. ” https://www.unesco.org/en/days/elimination-violence-against-women
November 25 2023 I used the chance to highlight the suffering that women have to endure in Palestine as well as in other war zones. My project was censored and I was asked by university/ professor to cut out parts that referred to Palestine. Attached you can find my statement and the original project.
I submitted three projects in total. “Oliveland” and “Women in Gaza” are referring to the opression of palestinians. The third project “Toxic love” deals with mentally abusive partnerships and the danger of loosing yourself in a toxic relationship.

STOPMOTION ANIMATION (WIP)
As part of a collaboration with students from India, who developed a sound for my animation, I built this miniature stop motion Set. 99% of it was made by recycelt trash and leftovers. To incooperate cultural aspects of my collaboration partners, I decided to use indian spices to create the rust effects and paint the floor and walls. Building the whole model took me a few weeks and a budged under 20 euros.

The Henrichenburg ship lift was already a place of progress when it was built. The innovative balancing technique for raising and lowering ships was successfully tried out here for the first time in 1899, when the Dortmund-Ems Canal was opened. The museum is located in the Waltrop lock park, which is still a logistically important hub for goods transport. It asks questions about the present and future of inland shipping and the working world of those employed in this sector.
For this occasion I was asked to show my videomapping-animation MOTHER EARTH. My project questions the limits of progress and how our planet would respond to the never-ending exploitation of humans. I feel very honored that my animation was selected to be the main prject out of 12 other amazing artworks.
Is it Progress or regress?
Is there a future for us and how will it look like?
How far can we go?
Those were some of the interesting and inspiring questions I was asked at the Festival of #FUTUR21 where I had the chance to talk about my Videomapping project “Mother Earth”.
It is about a planet that has been unconditionally home to us for human kind and that tries to compensate our hunger for more but still reaches the limits of progress.
My work reflects mother earth’s point of view and gives an appeal to deal more consciously with our nature and reflect our behavior.

GARDEN OF MEMORIES
Augmented-Reality project for a cultural event in Cologne
“Memories are people, places, tastes, smells and nature. With our project we create new memories and share them with each other.”
Put on your VR glasses and have a little excursion into the world of fantasy. The project by Integrationshaus e.V. in close cooperation with VAMOS Animation is an invitation to everyone to recreate memories, make them accessible in virtual reality and share them with one another.
I am proud to be a part of it!
Soon it’s time to immerse yourself in a surreal world of fantastic plants that convey lots of history and memories.
